What We Build
We design new products, services, and processes with the teams who will run them, and we build AI systems, called Gliders, around an organization's own material. Every Glider starts with a map of who will use it and what each of them needs to find.

New products, services, and processes
For teams who want to change what they offer or how they work. We find where a product, a service, or a process could change, using what is known about how people perceive, decide, and act, and we design the change with the people who will use it. James Intriligator has designed new processes for a range of banks and financial-services firms (including Malaysia’s central bank), several automakers and their suppliers, venture capital and consulting firms, and a multinational supermarket chain.

Anniversary Gliders

For schools and colleges approaching a milestone anniversary, we build a digital experience using yearbooks, newspapers, magazines, bulletins, and photographs. Alumni can find a name across the issues, read what happened on campus on today’s date a century ago, and compare this anniversary to an earlier one. A full build can also take in live oral histories and the stories alumni send in. We start with a free one-page look at what your institution has already published, and then, upon agreement, we provide a working preview from part of your archive in about three weeks.

Innovation Compasses

For strategy, brand, and innovation teams, and for the agencies that serve them, we compile market evidence, competitors’ moves, the claim rules, and the company’s own plans, research, and past projects to create a live map of where the company could go. Teams click a territory for its evidence, openings, and concept sketches, ask questions with every answer cited, and check a line of pack copy against the rules before it reaches a printer. A Compass can be kept current, taking in new launches, rulings, and news, along with anything the team chooses to share.
-
Research and Knowledge Gliders

For authors, research groups, libraries, foundations, and professional networks, we join together hundreds of documents into one system that can be searched and cross-checked. We add in interactive timelines, map contradictions, and bring the people in them to the surface. A network’s members can be mapped by expertise and work style, so organizers can see who would work well together.
-
Governance Gliders

For policy groups, compliance teams, and boards, a Governance Glider splits a law, a policy, or a charter into clauses, and then it codes each one for whom it empowers, whom it burdens, whom it protects, and whom it leaves out, with an evidence quote behind every reading. Two frameworks can then be compared side by side, clause by clause. A Governance Glider can also check an organization’s own charters and policies against the rules that apply to it, row by row.

Workshops and Working Sessions
We can teach a client team to work this way by itself.
